The Consultants
Warwickshire Surgical Partners is a collaboration between three consultant surgeons
who have worked together for many years. Their aim is to provide expert care to
patients with a wide variety of surgical problems by combining modern techniques
with years of clinical experience.

Circulatory problems in the legs
For your legs and feet to remain warm and healthy requires an adequate blood supply.
Problems occur when fatty deposits build up in the walls of arteries, restricting blood flow to the legs.
The first sign of restricted blood flow in the legs is usually aching in the calf during walking or exercise.
The foot may feel cold or look pale. More severe restrictions in blood flow can result in the foot being painful,
especially when elevated in bed at night; there may also be damage to the skin causing ulcers on the ankle or feet.
Circulatory problems in the legs are generally caused by peripheral arterial disease, or ‘hardening of the arteries’.
